"Being a property business working with investors primarily with LHA / Housing Benefit tenants, we rely on only the best sources of information.
Having worked with Housing Benefit Helpline on several individual cases I can honestly say that they are a very professional and effective company, and without doubt are one of the leading advisory services of LHA / Housing Benefit claims I have come across. I highly recommend them!"
John Davies, LHA Network
"The words I would use to sum up Housing Benefit Helpline are professional, efficient and very, very effective.
HousingBenefitHelpline.co.uk has helped me on two separate occasions, and on top of getting both claim refusals overturned they have also recovered in total £6,768.38 in back rent payments from the LHA.
When I had nothing else to do but accept defeat and walk away from two very good long term LHA tenants and mounting rent arrears whose claims had been rejected, Housing Benefit Helpline came and saved the day. They immediately scrutinised both cases and found the flaws they would immediately act on, and in both cases proved without doubt they knew exactly what they were doing with exceptional clarity and judgement.
Not only did they claim back nearly £7,000 in back rents, but they also saved me from having to lose even more money from eviction costs, refurbishments and void periods which all would have been very costly, and as proved by their results, was not even necessary.
It amazes me to think how much money it would have cost me if I had not instructed Housing Benefit Helpline to act for me.
Housing Benefit Helpline has helped me tremendously and I would not hesitate in using them again, I thoroughly recommend them to all investors who have LHA tenants and need accurate up to date information and help."

"We used Housing Benefit Helpline when all attempts to obtain housing benefit for one of our tenants had failed.
Our tenant was a single dad and because he had sold and rented back his property the council applied the 5 year rule by the book despite all reasons to the contrary. He had sold to prevent an inevitable repossession further down the line, he had continued to work in the building trade with his own business for a further 3 years and then lost his business in the recession. To me the perfect candidate for housing benefit support. The council even told me he was entitled to it just not in that house. They said he can move next door and get it but he can't stay where he is. It was ridiculous.
After exhausting all avenues including legal services, landlord associations and even an appeal on Twitter my plea ended up in front of an old friend who now runs Housing Benefit Helpline.
We were put in touch with one of their advisers, who knew more about the system than anyone I have ever met; down to individual statutes and laws. He offered loads of advice and support, reviewed every detail of the case and helped us with our appeal to the courts including advising both myself and my tenant on exactly what to say and in what way to say it. It was a relief to have someone on side who knew what to do next.
In the end the tenant decided to apply for a council house and unbelievably was accepted so he didn't turn up for the court appeal! But had he have done so I am confident that we would have had a really good shot at convincing the courts we were right as long as we had Housing Benefit Helpline by our side.
Things didn't work out as intended in this case but I would have absolutely no hesitation in using Housing Benefit Helpline again."
